Secretary of the North Eastern (Queen's) Hospital, 1893-1930

Mr. T. Glenton-Kerr, the secretary of the North-Eastern Hospital for Children, has sustained a severe loss in the death on Thursday last, of his thirteen-months’ old child, Joan. We tender our sincere sympathies to Mr. Glenton-Kerr in this sad bereavement.

PRESENTATION.

In celebration of his completion of twenty-five years’ service as Secretary of the Queen’s Hospital for Children, Hackney Road, Mr. T. Glenton-Kerr has been presented with an illuminated address and a cheque subscribed for by supporters of the institution. A diamond ring was added as a gift to Mrs. Glenton-Kerr. The presentation was made by Lord William Cecil, chairman of the committee of the hospital.

Secretary of the Queen's Hospital for Children

It is with great regret we record the death, which took place on Wednesday last at his residence in Radlet, Hertfordshire, of Mr. T. Glenton-Kerr, who was for 37 years the secretary of the Queen’s Hospital for Children, Hackney Road.

Mr. Glenton-Kerr, who was 64 years of age. was ill for only five days, and the cause of death was eryzipelas and heart failure. The deceased was very popular among all the workers at the hospital and among a wide circle of friends, and his death has come as a great shock to all of them.

Mr. Glenton-Kerr leaves a widow and one daughter, with whom great sympathy will be felt. The funeral tock place today (Friday) at West Norwood Cemetery at half-past two o'clock.
