THE NORTH-EASTERN HOSPITAL.

Viscount Hayashi, the Bishop of Ripon, the Duke and Duchess of Somerset, Lord and Lady Llangattock, Princess Alexis Dolgorouki, the Mexican Minister, the Charges d’Affaires for Servia and Bolivia, the Consuls-General for Germany, Spain, Japan, and Denmark, and the Chief Rabbi are among those who have accepted invitations to the luncheon which is to be given by the Lord Mayor on Monday in aid of the North-Eastern Hospital for Children. The hospital is situated in one of the poorest and most densely-populated districts and the demands on its resources are very great. An important announcement will be made at the luncheon by the editor of "Little Folks,” whose readers have collected nearly £3,000 in aid of the hospital.
